This Event Demands Your Attention

I was going to ride into work this morning but as I ratcheted up my cycling shoes, the buckle disintegrated leaving my right shoe lifeless, limp, flacid. I could’ve easily wrapped some duct tape around my ankle or worn regular ole tenny pumps on platforms, but it was too late. My blood was boiling and my mind had steered into Jack Torrance territory. After I stuffed the shoes into the wood chipper and desecrated the remains, I thought to myself, surely there has to be a group riding challenge that would give me the mental fortitude to make lemonade out of my cycling lemons and that possibly brings together members of my place of employment?  Huzzah!
